for Windows™ |
Open/A for Windows opens the door
to UnisysTM Clearpath access through
Windows PCs. Open/A consists of an Clearpath mainframe component
and a PC component that offers an Open Database Connectivity
(ODBC) interface. Thus, users may take advantage of their PC
based applications to access mainframe databases, flat files, or
KIOII files.
Open/A supports communications
with the host system via several transports such as InfoConnectTM,
CTCBRIDGETM, TCP/IP, HLCNTM, HFSTM,
APISTM, Upstanding NTPTM, and Telnet.
